Lately I've been trying to educate myself on Romanian culture and history and geography and artists...you know, things I would have learned in the past 10 years.
I'm discovering that I absolutely love love love old traditional Romanian music.
I've been listening specifically to a lot of Maria Tanase's music.
I find her voice fascinating, her accent divine and turns out she was BEEEAUTIFUL:
You can tell she had a strong personality....her voice gives it away.

Ooh I like her! I feel like this song would be cool in a movie... And sometimes I even like it when I don't know the language because I can just imagine the meaning...
