I've decided that as soon as I'm experienced enough with this camera, and as soon as I have a decent job and can call myself a knowledgeable photographer, I will reward myself with the most amazing lens (and expensive, unfortunately). I've been trying to learn as much as possible about aperture and what that does to pictures and THIS one has a reaaaally small number (f1.2) which means I can really capture a subject sharply, while the background remains blurry.
I KNOW I KNOW - It's SO expensive, practically as much as I paid for the whole damn camera.
But if I put away fifty dollars a month, I can save up in about a year and two months.
I can't help but feel I can do this. Maybe it's the one thing I'm certain of in my entire life right now. I don't know where I'll be next, where I'll work, who I'll meet, where I'll go... I just want to do this one thing.

keep going with your photography, irina! it sounds like a fulfilling, beaitiful hobby for you. while that lens is pretty damn amazing, don't lose focus on why you are snapping picture. some of the best photos taken didn't require expensive cameras/equiptment! you have an eye, keep developing it!!
